Engines and Performance:

Engines are two Deutz TBD 620 V16 16 cylinder diesels of 70.8litres rated at 2,764hp direct driving fixed propellers.

Maximum speed is 33 knots consuming 32.1 litres per nautical mile.

Cruising speed is 20 knots consuming 19.6 litres per nautical mile.

Range with 32,800 litre fuel tanks is 1,022 nm at 33 knots, 1673 nm at 20 knots, or 2231 nm @ 15 knots..

Construction:

Construction is in ‘medium tech’ Fibreglass and Foam Composite construction and will be designed to Det Norske Veritas (DNV) High Speed and Light Craft Rule (1996) It is in this writers opinion that a properly constructed GRP vessel such as this is stronger and requires less maintenance than a comparable aluminium or steel.
