Construction:
I
have designed vessels built using a variety of methods and
materials, including plywood, aluminium and glass composites.

It is my opinion that if a vessel is to be built to the highest
quality, then none can compare with composite construction.
These vessels are stronger, stiffer, more stable, use less filler
and require less maintenance. |
|
Glass composite construction can include ‘medium-tech’ techniques
using E-glass and PVC foam or balsa, or more high-tech materials
such as pre-preg carbon fibre or kevlar fabrics. |
