The vessel is a displacement power catamaran, which achieves high performance with relatively low horsepower, combined with excellent sea keeping enabling high speeds to be maintained in heavier sea conditions and minimising fuel consumption. Particular note should be made of the hull design which provides protection to the rudders and propellers in shallow draft, and the vessel is capable of being beached or hauled out without need for a cradle.

Engines and Performance:

Engines are two Caterpillar 3116 six cylinder diesels of 6.6 litres rated at 255hp direct driving a fixed propeller through an MG5050 gearbox of 2.04:1 ratio.

Maximum speed is 25 knots

Cruising speed is 15 knots
